Black and White photography is a very important form of artistic expression. Color can add beauty and depth to a photograph, but it can also be a distraction from what you want to focus on.

Grayscale images tend to be more emotionally based. Without pretty colors to distract you, the observers focuses on the light and shadow, subject, message, and concept.

I love black and white imaging, at least when it is done right, LOL.

I get discouraged sometimes here, because i see so much work with excessive blowout and burnout, with little attention to tonal quality.

This photo is refreshing for its high Tonal Quality and gradients. Tonal quality is defined by how many different tones are used across the entire available tonal range (from black to white), and by how smooth the tonal gradients are.

The Dynamic Range is very good, with fine detail and texture. I love the composition, with the use of nature's geometric forms.

Excellent work.

Hey, lets not be negative about your work. You do a lot of "right things." In the world of art there are plenty of ignorant critics ready to trash your work. It is really important that you recognize your talent and always stay centered in that positive space. That way it does not matter what negative things people may say, because you recognize, appreciate, and trust your talent. That is why so many artists have huge egos, LOL.
